With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hílton Gaspar in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luís Paulo Cosme saved Eucum SS from getting behind. In the 17th match minute, Eucum SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vânderson Dias to maneuver through the defense. In the 18th minute Hílton Gaspar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luís Paulo Cosme saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sidnei Luz made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Nelson Pereira sent off a good shot on target. Luís Paulo Cosme made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Colon Romero in the 91st minute of play. 92 minutes into the match, Hílton Gaspar notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Eucum SS's Luís Paulo Cosme. Luís Paulo Cosme was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Eucum SS succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Cruz Soccer Club had controlled the match.
