Luiz Gustavo Barral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Acácio Gonçalves in the 22nd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Juataba AD's zone, Alfredinho Loyola stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Oswaldo Luz came out of the goal and Alfredinho Loyola tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luiz Gustavo Barral made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Dalmo Brito sent off a good shot on target. 33 minutes into the match, Juataba AD's goal looked a bit too open when Alfredinho Loyola came free, but Oswaldo Luz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 34 played minutes Juataba AD got a freekick which was hit by Cristian Silveira. Oswaldo Luz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfredinho Loyola, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Dalmo Brito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Acácio Gonçalves struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Luiz Gustavo Barral didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Juataba AD. Acácio Gonçalves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luiz Gustavo Barral having to interfere. Maues AD's Luiz Gustavo Barral proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save Maues AD from getting a goal against them. Alfredinho Loyola struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Oswaldo Luz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Maues AD.

Juataba AD's Oswaldo Luz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Magno Meirelles in the 53rd minute of play. If Alfredinho Loyola had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 63rd match minute, Juataba AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manoel Neiva to maneuver through the defense. After 64 minutes of play, Maues AD's Alfredinho Loyola made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Luiz Gustavo Barral didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dalmo Brito went, in the 76th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. With a little luck, Juataba AD's Oswaldo Luz got control of the ball when Alfredinho Loyola tried to sneak it across the goal line. Oswaldo Luz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Magno Meirelles in the 80th minute of play. A collision led to Maues AD getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Valério Couto hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Valério Couto during the 85th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 86th minute, Valério Couto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Juataba AD's Luan Soeiro couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 86th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Maues AD. Luiz Gustavo Barral was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
