With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vinícius Teixeira in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luís Fernando Prata saved Frio from getting behind. After 25 played minutes Caripare SC got a freekick which was hit by Caio Neto. 27 minutes into the match, Frio's goal looked a bit too open when Gugu Urbano came free, but Luís Fernando Prata reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gugu Urbano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Luís Fernando Prata tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luís Fernando Prata showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vinícius Teixeira in the 33rd minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 34 minutes, Luiz Vides put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Luís Fernando Prata. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vinícius Teixeira in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luís Fernando Prata prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 41 played minutes Caripare SC got a freekick which was hit by Caio Neto. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Vinícius Teixeira got in the 80th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Luís Fernando Prata handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Caio Neto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Luís Fernando Prata read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 81st minute of play.
