But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luiz Fabiano Peres couldn't finish the play. Durval de Amorim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wilson Pirani, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Adalmo Pernambucano's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Fábio Custódio firmly grabbed it by the left post. When Vicente Ramalho fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Araqua's protests and gave Vicente Ramalho a yellow card for diving instead. After 25 played minutes Araqua got a freekick which was hit by Vicente Ramalho. In the 26th minute, Adalmo Pernambucano made a precise shot to the right of Fábio Custódio. Araqua's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Fábio Custódio made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Agnaldo Fantini sent off a good shot on target. Fábio Custódio was a little too slow when Zachary Augustyn got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 32nd minute. The score was now 2-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luiz Fabiano Peres during the 37th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. If Luiz Fabiano Peres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Wilson Pirani to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Wilson Pirani dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Durval de Amorim, 2-1. Itapocu's Durval de Amorim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wilson Pirani in the 57th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Zachary Augustyn's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fábio Custódio was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. Fábio Custódio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adalmo Pernambucano in the 64th minute of play. In the 79th minute, Araqua's Wilson Pirani dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-2. If Luiz Fabiano Peres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Durval de Amorim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wilson Pirani, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Wilson Pirani fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Durval de Amorim having to interfere. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
