Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Daniel Andrițoiu in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Juvenal Fantini prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Juvenal Fantini stood somewhat misplaced when Gabriel Torres came free in front of goal and shot 2-1 to the left of him in the 33 minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gabriel Torres got free with Juvenal Fantini in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 44 minutes into the match, Caruaru City's goal looked a bit too open when Horácio de Barros came free, but Menelaos Tobias reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Caruaru City fully deserved thier win.
