Txerran Liquiñano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 22 minutes of play, Internacional's Txerran Liquiñano made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Emerson Guerra was left in no man's land by his defense there! 25 minutes into the match, Internacional's goal looked a bit too open when Dorian Eger came free, but Francisco Fernandez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Dorian Eger managed to get in a good position for a shot. Manica's supporters rose to their feet, but Dorian Eger was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Francisco Fernandez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Edinho Abraão's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 32ndth minute, Francisco Fernandez skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. When Internacional's Txerran Liquiñano in the 33rd minute got a chance for a shot 33rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Manica's goalie prevented a goal. Emerson Guerra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Txerran Liquiñano in the 34th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Txerran Liquiñano in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Emerson Guerra prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 39th minute Dorian Eger shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Francisco Fernandez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Internacional's Francisco Fernandez got control of the ball when Edinho Abraão tried to sneak it across the goal line. Francisco Fernandez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dagoberto Passos in the 46th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Emerson Guerra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Txerran Liquiñano in the 52nd minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Dorian Eger's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Francisco Fernandez was relentless in the 58th minute of the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aílton Meireles during the 59th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 59 played minutes Internacional got a freekick which was hit by Aílton Meireles. Txerran Liquiñano's late challenge caught a Manica's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Txerran Liquiñano helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Manica's João Vítor Bezerra got a free kick in the 66th minute. Emerson Guerra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Txerran Liquiñano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. But to his dismay, Juninho Albuquerque quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Internacional's Francisco Fernandez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edinho Abraão in the 86th minute of play. Edinho Abraão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Internacional's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
