In the 7thth minute of the game Anderson Moreira who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sanville F.C.'s Dinei Loureiro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 8 minutes into the match, Urycuca EC's goal looked a bit too open when Custódio de Medeiros came free, but Luiz Eduardo Quaresma reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Custódio de Medeiros's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 9thth minute, Luiz Eduardo Quaresma skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 14th match minute, Sanville F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Murillo Paraibano to maneuver through the defense. In the 18th minute Anderson Moreira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dinei Loureiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 22nd minute, Urycuca EC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Murillo Paraibano fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Dinei Loureiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anderson Moreira, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. After having played for 31 minutes, Custódio de Medeiros managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sanville F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Custódio de Medeiros was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 34th minute, Custódio de Medeiros ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Luiz Eduardo Quaresma was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 39th minute of the game. One of Sanville F.C.:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Urycuca EC:s goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lenílson Neiva was the one to do the kick off. Dinei Loureiro came out of the goal in the 57th minute to try and stop a shot by Urycuca EC's Anderson Moreira. But to his dismay, Anderson Moreira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Jonas Tasso hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Anderson Moreira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dinei Loureiro having to interfere. Jonas Tasso struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Dinei Loureiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Urycuca EC. Murillo Paraibano charged in rather forcefully in the 68th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Murillo Paraibano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Sanville F.C.'s Murillo Paraibano got a free kick in the 68th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Léo Tande in the 69th minute of play forced Sanville F.C.'s goalkeeper Dinei Loureiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 69th minute, Léo Tande left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Urycuca EC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. After 73 minutes, Anderson Moreira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Urycuca EC and the Sanville F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Urycuca EC's Anderson Moreira got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Dedê de Castro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dedê de Castro in the 78th minute of play forced Urycuca EC's goalkeeper Luiz Eduardo Quaresma to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Urycuca EC's Cláudio Amaral got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Chants of Urycuca EC echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Sanville F.C. had held the ball for most of the match.
