Dráuzio Valadares made in the 17th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Taja E.C.'s Custódio Velasco. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valério Ferreira in the 23rd minute of play forced Taja E.C.'s goalkeeper João Vítor Ceresso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 24 played minutes Desapregados got a freekick which was hit by Enéas Britto. Custódio Velasco didn't miss a given chance and shot in short distance 1-0 via right post in the game's 26th minute. With an extended leg and a bit of luck João Vítor Ceresso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match clock showed 38 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Valério Ferreira sped through Taja E.C.'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of João Vítor Ceresso. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Custódio Velasco stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Desapregados's Sebastião Ortiz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Custódio Velasco in the 51st minute of play. The Taja E.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that João Vítor Ceresso should have stopped the shot. In the 83rd minute, Tostão Vieira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Taja E.C.'s João Vítor Ceresso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save Taja E.C. from getting a goal against them. João Vítor Ceresso made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Valério Ferreira sent off a good shot on target. Desapregados were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Taja E.C.'s much stronger midfield.
