This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Gilvan Mota as he didn't even see the shot coming. Gilvan Mota made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mauro Maciel in the 7th minute of play. Clóvis Novaess short, quick shot in the 10thth minute got Gilvan Mota to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 12 minutes into the game, S.E. Pupunha's Chico Pitta nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Thawab Al Badoum made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Through an outstanding action, after 14 minutes, Gilvan Mota successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. When REAL MADRUGA FC's Caco Albuquerque in the 16th minute got a chance for a shot 16th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye S.E. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Clóvis Novaes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilvan Mota having to interfere. In the 28th match minute, S.E. Pupunha was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Chico Pitta to maneuver through the defense. In the 39th minute, REAL MADRUGA FC's Clóvis Novaes ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Gilvan Mota. Gilvan Mota yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-1. Clóvis Novaes who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 45thth minute tested the skills of Gilvan Mota when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Gerson Cavalcante's late challenge caught a REAL MADRUGA FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gerson Cavalcante helped the player get up and apologised. Clóvis Novaes's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 47thth minute, Gilvan Mota skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal.

The wind increased when Clóvis Novaes made the kick off in the second half. Gilvan Mota showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Clóvis Novaes in the 52nd minute of the match. After 55 played minutes REAL MADRUGA FC got a freekick which was hit by Tarcisio Chaves. After 60 played minutes S.E. Pupunha got a freekick which was hit by Gerson Cavalcante. After a rather tough play, S.E. Pupunha's Chico Pitta got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Clóvis Novaes took the ball and in the 64 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gilvan Mota. Gilvan Mota dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. If Mauro Maciel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 68 minutes into the match, S.E. Pupunha's goal looked a bit too open when Clóvis Novaes came free, but Gilvan Mota reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mauro Maciel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Clóvis Novaes managed to get in a good position for a shot. REAL MADRUGA FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Clóvis Novaes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gilvan Mota breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 75th minute, Clóvis Novaes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gilvan Mota was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-1. If Bernardo Laurentzi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of REAL MADRUGA FC booed when S.E. Pupunha was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Evandro Silveira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Arlindo Queiroz hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. In the 89th minute of the match Júnior Alves shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Thawab Al Badoum showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Adhemar da Silva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. REAL MADRUGA FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
