The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Guga Rodrigues was the one to do the kick off. In the 79th minute, Itajahy SC's Guga Rodrigues dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-3. Paulo José Negri was out of position in the 83 minute of play, and Guga Rodrigues capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Guga Rodrigues really showed his touch with that goal: 1-4. Guga Rodrigues who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 93rdth minute tested the skills of Paulo José Negri when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When Guga Rodrigues came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Itajahy SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Guga Rodrigues couldn't finish the play.
