C.'s Tião Freitas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chicão Brito in the 15th minute of play. Vitório Almeida made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Tony Secco sent off a good shot on target. Tony Secco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Vitório Almeida tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Emerson Veloso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vitório Almeida having to interfere. After 27 played minutes Ipixuna got a freekick which was hit by Faustão Mota. 29 minutes into the game, Marcel Rocha cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Tião Freitas was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 31st match minute, DigDin E. C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tony Secco to maneuver through the defense. 39 minutes into the match, DigDin E. C.'s Tony Secco sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vitório Almeida narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Tião Freitas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cássio Almeida, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. An unexpected shot in the 42nd minute by Tony Secco got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Chicão Brito to strike the kick off in the second half. DigDin E. C.'s Tião Freitas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 51st minute of the match, managed to save DigDin E. C. from getting a goal against them. If Cássio Almeida had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in DigDin E. C. fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 55th minute. Penalty! The goalkeeper, Tião Freitas, was totally fooled by Ipixuna's Virgílio Trancoso, who 57 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Marcel Rocha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Tião Freitas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ipixuna's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
