Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Paulo Cruz started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 4 minutes into the game, Araripina's Horácio Barros nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Falcão Mazza made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Egídio Vargas got free with Falcão Mazza in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Falcão Mazza made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Egídio Vargas sent off a good shot on target. Paulo José Leite took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alain Biard, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Falcão Mazza made an important save on a dangerous shot by Egídio Vargas in the 21st minute. 22 minutes into the match, Itahu EC's goal looked a bit too open when Paulo Cruz came free, but Falcão Mazza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Falcão Mazza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulo Cruz in the 26th minute of play. The supporters of Araripina booed when Itahu EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Victor Pires didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alain Biard recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A hard shot 36 in the game by Egídio Vargas from a close distance when the talented Falcão Mazza managed to make a qualified save. Itahu EC's players were relieved. Falcão Mazza was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Paulo Cruz showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 38 minute of play. Falcão Mazza was a little too slow when Paulo Cruz got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 41st minute. The score was now 3-0. After a rather tough play, Araripina's Paulo Cruz got a free kick in the 44th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alain Biard made a kick off. Paulo Cruz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Falcão Mazza having to interfere. Falcão Mazza didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Horácio Barros went, in the 55th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. In the 62nd minute Paulo Cruz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Falcão Mazza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Falcão Mazza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Horácio Barros, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Emerson Saraiva hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 89 minutes into the match, Itahu EC's goal looked a bit too open when Paulo Cruz came free, but Falcão Mazza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Egídio Vargas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Paulo Cruz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Falcão Mazza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Falcão Mazza came out of the goal in the 97th minute to try and stop a shot by Araripina's Horácio Barros. But to his dismay, Horácio Barros quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0.
