Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when 林鹏夕 kicked off to start the match. Egídio Vargas who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 8thth minute tested the skills of Afonsinho Mattos when he managed to save the team from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by 林鹏夕 in the 10th minute of play forced Araripina's goalkeeper Paulo José Leite to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 11 minutes into the game, Armando Figueiredo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Araripina's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mont Serrat E.C the free kick. After a rather tough play, Araripina's Armando Figueiredo got a free kick in the 12th minute. With his leg Afonsinho Mattos managed to avoid a goal in the 18thth minute, when Araripina's Egídio Vargas fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. A collision led to Mont Serrat E.C getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Zé Augusto Pirani hit a great ball. Paulo José Leite showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from 林鹏夕 in the 21st minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Umberto da Costa during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Paulo José Leite made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 林鹏夕 in the 25th minute of play. Lucas Botelho was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 30 minutes into the match. In the 29th minute, one of Mont Serrat E.C:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Mont Serrat E.C. Egídio Vargas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Afonsinho Mattos made a huge save. Araripina's Paulo José Leite played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joseph Baier in the 35th minute of play. Egídio Vargas came free with the goalkeeper in the 37th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Afonsinho Mattos could save by the left post. With a little luck, Mont Serrat E.C's Afonsinho Mattos got control of the ball when Egídio Vargas tried to sneak it across the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Araripina reached it. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.
The wind increased when Paulo Cruz made the kick off in the second half. Adriano Mesquita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo José Leite having to interfere. Afonsinho Mattos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Horácio Barros in the 55th minute of the match. If Joseph Baier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 61 played minutes Mont Serrat E.C got a freekick which was hit by Adriano Mesquita. Egídio Vargas hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Paulo José Leite was out of position in the 64 minute of play, and Joseph Baier capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Joseph Baier really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. Paulo José Leite took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joseph Baier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jacinto Brasil got free with Paulo José Leite in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mont Serrat E.C's Afonsinho Mattos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulo Cruz in the 75th minute of play. 76 minutes into the game, Adriano Mesquita cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Paulo José Leite was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The crowd rose to their feet as Mont Serrat E.C's Joseph Baier slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Paulo José Leite. That made the score 1-4 after 83 minutes of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Egídio Vargas during the 90th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 90th minute, Egídio Vargas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Mont Serrat E.C's Samuca Bastos got a free kick in the 92nd minute. When the match clock showed 93 minutes, the score became 2-4 when Paulo Cruz sped through Mont Serrat E.C's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Afonsinho Mattos.
