When Benjamin Porto came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Gurupai fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Benjamin Porto couldn't finish the play. If Duarte Félix had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Simão Silveira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Manfredo Rocha hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. João Vítor Santana showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cléberson das Neves in the 21st minute of the match. In the 21st minute, Cléberson das Neves ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. João Vítor Santana was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Norberto Cearense showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benjamin Porto, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. If Simão Silveira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Mangarataia's Pedro Augusto Rodrigues got a free kick in the 29th minute. Benjamin Porto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Norberto Cearense having to interfere. João Vítor Santana made an important save on a dangerous shot by Armandinho Alves in the 38th minute. Cléberson das Neves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pedro Augusto Rodrigues received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. João Vítor Santana tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The wind increased when Duarte Félix made the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the game, Manuel Eger was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mangarataia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gurupai the free kick. Manuel Eger kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. With an all-out effort, Gurupai's Norberto Cearense threw himself towards the right post 56 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Benjamin Porto, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. An unexpected shot in the 57th minute by Simão Silveira got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Gurupai's João Vítor Santana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Augusto Rodrigues in the 61st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Duarte Félix in the 62nd minute of play forced Gurupai's goalkeeper João Vítor Santana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Duarte Félix sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 65th minute, Duarte Félix ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. João Vítor Santana was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. A collision led to Mangarataia getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Luís da Fonseca hit a great ball. Simão Silveira came free with the goalkeeper in the 70th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Norberto Cearense could save by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benjamin Porto in the 71st minute of play forced Mangarataia's goalkeeper Norberto Cearense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Simão Silveira kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Norberto Cearense. That made the score 3-1 in the 72 minute of play. Norberto Cearense made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Simão Silveira sent off a good shot on target. Duarte Félix fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Vítor Santana having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Duarte Félix in the 82nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck João Vítor Santana prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 83rd match minute, Gurupai was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ezequiel Pena to maneuver through the defense. Mangarataia's Cléberson das Neves got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. João Vítor Santana didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Duarte Félix went, in the 96th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. When the referee ended the match the Mangarataia players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
