Dynamo do Morro's Enio Queiroz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benjamim Tinoco in the 17th minute of play. Gonçalo Chaves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Enio Queiroz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Luís Eduardo Pirani had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Enio Queiroz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gonçalo Chaves in the 29th minute. Enio Queiroz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benjamim Tinoco in the 35th minute of the match. 40 minutes into the match, Dynamo do Morro's goalkeeper Enio Queiroz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gonçalo Chaves. Dynamo do Morro's Enio Queiroz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save Dynamo do Morro from getting a goal against them. Enio Queiroz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benjamim Tinoco in the 43rd minute of the match. Galo Azul's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Dynamo do Morro the free kick. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Benjamim Tinoco to make the kick off. After 53 minutes, Luís Eduardo Pirani mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Dynamo do Morro and the Galo Azul players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 53rd minute, Luís Eduardo Pirani hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 2-0 became the score in the 55th minute when Benjamim Tinoco elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. The supporters of Galo Azul booed when Dynamo do Morro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nilton Amorim didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rubinho Matos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Paulinho Alves yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-2. Benjamim Tinoco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Enio Queiroz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Benjamim Tinoco in the 86th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Enio Queiroz saved Dynamo do Morro from getting behind. After having played for 87 minutes, Edinho Fernandes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Galo Azul's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edinho Fernandes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 89th minute Benjamim Tinoco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Enio Queiroz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The throw-in from Christiano Pinheiro in the 92nd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Galo Azul's Vítor das Neves. 96 minutes into the game, Benjamim Tinoco cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-2. Enio Queiroz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the referee ended the match the Galo Azul players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
