Pedro Matos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Oswaldo Abraão hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. 9 minutes into the match, Barreiras FC's goal looked a bit too open when Sidnei Ramos came free, but Pedro Matos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lenílson Corrêa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. When the referee ended the match the Montes Negros FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
