Madureira's Cristian Coelho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matías Tavares in the 12th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Durvalino Mello got free with Giuseppe Alcântara in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cristian Coelho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nilmar Arantes, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Cristian Coelho was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 74 minutes of play Madureira's Teodoro Magalhães was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground.
