Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Rubinho Silva took the kick off in the first half of the match. The supporters of Pedrinha SC booed when Correntezas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedro Luiz Leal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Manfredo Baptista showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Macedo, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. Tomás Linhares hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. 16 minutes into the game, Tomás Linhares was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Correntezas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pedrinha SC the free kick. A collision led to Correntezas getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Tomás Linhares hit a great ball. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Correntezas's Rubinho Silva in the 29th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Dalmo Maranhense was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Pedrinha SC through an amazing save. Carlos Fernando Paraense kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Dalmo Maranhense made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Haroldo Vianna sent off a good shot on target. Haroldo Vianna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dalmo Maranhense having to interfere. Rubinho Silva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 42 minutes had been played when some careless play by Correntezas's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Rafinha Souza was slow to take the kick. During this time Pedrinha SC's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Rafinha Souza got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Manfredo Baptista quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Haroldo Vianna recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rubinho Silva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. José Macedo was the one to do the kick off. Haroldo Vianna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Dalmo Maranhense tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gildo Cunha charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gildo Cunha the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Gildo Cunha hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Haroldo Vianna in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dalmo Maranhense prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Abelardo Quadros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Rubinho Silva's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dalmo Maranhense was relentless in the 62nd minute of the game. Carlos Fernando Paraense kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Dalmo Maranhense showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rubinho Silva in the 69th minute of the match. Dalmo Maranhense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rubinho Silva in the 71st minute of play. The audience was convinced that Rubinho Silva's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dalmo Maranhense was relentless in the 76th minute of the game. If Haroldo Vianna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Haroldo Vianna managed to get in a good position for a shot. Correntezas's supporters rose to their feet, but Haroldo Vianna was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dalmo Maranhense breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Rubinho Silva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 97 minutes into the game, Rubinho Silva cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Dalmo Maranhense was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Correntezas's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
