In the 9th minute, Valdir Maranhense got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Ibituporanga's Valdir Maranhense in the 11th minute got a chance for a shot 11th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After some careless play in the Poaia EC defense, Maurinho Baiano kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Emílio Paraíba. The Poaia EC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Emílio Paraíba should have stopped the shot. Maurinho Baiano scored 0-5 in the 44th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Emílio Paraíba, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Valdir Maranhense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emílio Paraíba having to interfere. The Poaia EC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ibituporanga were winning 0-5.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Serafim Viana was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute Serafim Viana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacinto de Carvalho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jacinto de Carvalho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Juan Donato, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
