Armando Queiroz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Rafael Torres had several of the Saint Sophia CF's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 20 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-0 score and a disappointed Armando Queiroz as he didn't even see the shot coming. SALES F.C.'s Felipe Oliveira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Eduardo Saldanha in the 25th minute of play. 27 minutes into the match, SALES F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Luís Eduardo Saldanha came free, but Felipe Oliveira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Felipe Oliveira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rubinho Moreira in the 28th minute of the match. In the 29th minute, Luís Eduardo Saldanha got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 34 minutes into the game, Saint Sophia CF's Romário Fonseca nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Felipe Oliveira made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Luís Eduardo Saldanha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Felipe Oliveira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rubinho Moreira in the 45th minute of play. SALES F.C.'s Felipe Oliveira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rubinho Moreira in the 47th minute of play. In the 48th minute of the match Chicão Pinho sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Felipe Oliveira skillfully saved the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rubinho Moreira to make the kick off. When Rubinho Moreira came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Saint Sophia CF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rubinho Moreira couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Chicão Pinho during the 57th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Chicão Pinho hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Valdomiro Sena might have been able to make a better finish in the 62nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Armando Queiroz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Valdomiro Sena ran back to his position shaking his head. Armando Queiroz came out of the goal in the 62nd minute to try and stop a shot by SALES F.C.'s Rafael Torres. But to his dismay, Rafael Torres quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. If Rubinho Moreira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 69th minute of the match José Carlos Aparecido sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Felipe Oliveira skillfully saved the ball. In the 73rd minute, Saint Sophia CF's Rubinho Moreira ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Felipe Oliveira. Felipe Oliveira yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-2. Armando Queiroz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rony Gonçalves in the 81st minute of the match. Armando Queiroz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tony Arósio went, in the 83rd minute, to the upper right corner, 4-2 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luís Eduardo Saldanha in the 87th minute of play forced SALES F.C.'s goalkeeper Felipe Oliveira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Felipe Oliveira made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Luís Eduardo Saldanha sent off a good shot on target. Felipe Oliveira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rubinho Moreira in the 90th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rafael Torres in the 94th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Armando Queiroz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Valdomiro Sena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Armando Queiroz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Saint Sophia CF's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
