Trombucas's Waldemar Tinoco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nildo Correia in the 3rd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 4th minute, Nildo Correia managed to get in a good position for a shot. E. C Real Malas's supporters rose to their feet, but Nildo Correia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Waldemar Tinoco breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Trombucas's zone, Nildo Correia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Waldemar Tinoco came out of the goal and Nildo Correia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gernando Nascimento hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Nildo Correia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Waldemar Tinoco having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nildo Correia in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Waldemar Tinoco prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in Trombucas's zone, Nildo Correia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Waldemar Tinoco came out of the goal and Nildo Correia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. E. The audience was convinced that Vasile Culiță's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Waldemar Tinoco was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. Nildo Correia received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. When Luisinho Jacinto fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Trombucas's protests and gave Luisinho Jacinto a yellow card for diving instead. After 42 played minutes Trombucas got a freekick which was hit by Luisinho Jacinto. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Armandinho Rodrigues to strike the kick off in the second half. After 52 minutes, Ademir Teixeira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Trombucas and the E. C Real Malas players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ademir Teixeira kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Bebeto Carneiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 57th minute Armandinho Rodrigues shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Diniz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 58 minutes, Nildo Correia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. E. C Real Malas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nildo Correia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. C Real Malas's Nildo Correia nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Waldemar Tinoco made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Waldemar Tinoco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vasile Culiță, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Vasile Culiță had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Raimundo Zilles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 79 minutes, Nildo Correia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. E. C Real Malas booed when Trombucas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Victor Hoffmann didn't get a good kick on the ball. There was no doubt that E. C Real Malas were the better team. E. C Real Malas's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
