Chiquinho Ferraz didn't get a good kick on the ball. 20 minutes into the game, Dobromir Ogrodowicz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Jefferson da Silveira was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Alfredo de Senna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jefferson da Silveira having to interfere. Alfredo de Senna struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Jefferson da Silveira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Real Botuporã . When Real Botuporã 's Alfredo de Senna in the 34th minute got a chance for a shot 34th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Dobromir Ogrodowicz ran back to his position shaking his head. If Dobromir Ogrodowicz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Real Botuporã booed when Tupana was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manfredo Lira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hamílton Garcia was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute Hamílton Garcia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Patrício Melo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 52nd minute, Chiquinho Ferraz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 58 minutes in the game, Alfredo de Senna fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Jefferson da Silveira having to interfere. Jefferson da Silveira made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dobromir Ogrodowicz in the 61st minute. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 62nd minute of the game. One of Real Botuporã :s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Tupana:s goal. Real Botuporã :s Patrício Melo showed great skill when he stopped Manfredo Lira:s penalty. After 64 minutes of play, Tupana's Manfredo Lira made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Patrício Melo was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 67th minute Hamílton Garcia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Patrício Melo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Alfredo de Senna managed to get in a good position for a shot. Real Botuporã 's supporters rose to their feet, but Alfredo de Senna was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jefferson da Silveira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alfredo de Senna received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jefferson da Silveira came out and tried to block the shot, but Alfredo de Senna slotted it home off the left post making it 2-3 in the 75th minute. Jefferson da Silveira was out of position in the 83 minute of play, and Alfredo de Senna capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Alfredo de Senna really showed his touch with that goal: 2-4. A collision led to Tupana getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Adelino da Rocha hit a great ball. Patrício Melo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hamílton Garcia in the 87th minute of play. After having played for 91 minutes, Alfredo de Senna managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Real Botuporã 's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alfredo de Senna was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Patrício Melo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hamílton Garcia, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. Chiquinho Ferraz charged in rather forcefully in the 97th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Chiquinho Ferraz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 97th match minute, Real Botuporã was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Chiquinho Ferraz to maneuver through the defense. The Tupana fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Real Botuporã were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
