Spectators: 7274 (Terracing: 5457, Seating: 1673, VIP seats: 144) Váldson Varela started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 4th match minute, Quality was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jacinto Tavares to maneuver through the defense. Vinícius Severo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gilberto Lira having to make a save. After a rather tough play, Iguatemi SS's Lenílson Rodrigues got a free kick in the 10th minute. In the 11th minute, Lenílson Rodrigues hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Quality's Gerson Nascimento in the 13th minute got a chance for a shot 13th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Iguatemi SS's goalie prevented a goal. Gerson Nascimento could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Gilberto Lira made a huge save. Gilberto Lira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Pedro Catarinense in the 20th minute of the match. Quality's Wilian Dante played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Váldson Varela in the 29th minute of play. Lenílson Rodrigues hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Vinícius Severo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gilberto Lira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Pedro Catarinense in the 37th minute of play. Iguatemi SS's Gilberto Lira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save Iguatemi SS from getting a goal against them. Gerson Nascimento's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Gilberto Lira firmly grabbed it by the left post. Gilberto Lira came out of the goal in the 46th minute to try and stop a shot by Quality's Gerson Nascimento. But to his dismay, Gerson Nascimento quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1.

In the 52nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Quality's goalkeeper Wilian Dante, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Wilian Dante made an important save on a dangerous shot by Franklin Reis in the 55th minute. In the 63rd minute, Chico Prata got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gilberto Lira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gerson Nascimento, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. José Pedro Catarinense sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gerson Nascimento might have been able to make a better finish in the 75th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gilberto Lira. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gerson Nascimento ran back to his position shaking his head. Gilberto Lira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Pedro Catarinense in the 77th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Iguatemi SS defense, José Pedro Catarinense kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gilberto Lira. The Iguatemi SS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gilberto Lira should have stopped the shot. Iguatemi SS's Gilberto Lira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gerson Nascimento in the 82nd minute of play. 93 minutes into the match, Iguatemi SS's goal looked a bit too open when Gerson Nascimento came free, but Gilberto Lira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 95 minutes into the match, Quality's goalkeeper Wilian Dante had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Franklin Reis. Gilberto Lira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gerson Nascimento in the 96th minute of play. When the referee ended the match the Quality players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
