In the 24th minute, Elivélton Sarmento got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Júlio Aguiar stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Manuel Quintal's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Wesley Paulista made a kick off. After having played for 51 minutes, Mané Pitta managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jhoey 72's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mané Pitta was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 59 minutes into the game, Carta Marcada FC's Wesley Paulista nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Zé Carlos Capixaba made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. In the 63rd minute, Manuel Quintal reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Júlio Aguiar. The goal made the score 1-3. Manuel Quintal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Júlio Aguiar having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Jhoey 72's zone, Inácio Aparecido stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zé Carlos Capixaba came out of the goal and Inácio Aparecido tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Zé Carlos Capixaba showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wesley Paulista in the 82nd minute of the match. When Wesley Paulista came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Carta Marcada FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wesley Paulista couldn't finish the play.
