The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 6th minute the ball was on its way in behind Vermelhinha's goalkeeper Evaristo Alvarenga, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Kauan Loyola blasted a shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Evaristo Alvarenga having to make a save. Vermelhinha's Evaristo Alvarenga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kauan Loyola in the 11th minute of play. Walmyr Oliveira charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Walmyr Oliveira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Walmyr Oliveira kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cauan Zonta in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Evaristo Alvarenga saved Vermelhinha from getting behind. Evaristo Alvarenga stood somewhat misplaced when Cauan Zonta came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 20 minute. Evaristo Alvarenga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cauan Zonta in the 24th minute of the match. In the 26thth minute of the game Cauan Zonta who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Vermelhinha's Evaristo Alvarenga was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 29th minute Kauan Loyola shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Evaristo Alvarenga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 31 minutes into the match, Cauan Zonta had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Evaristo Alvarenga. Vermelhinha's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cauan Zonta was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. In the 35th minute, Cesinha Pernambucano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 38th minute, Kauan Loyola fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. After a rather tough play, Vermelhinha's Walmyr Oliveira got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Evaristo Alvarenga made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Cauan Zonta sent off a good shot on target. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cauan Zonta to make the kick off. Cesinha Pernambucano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Li Li made a huge save. Calesso FC's Cauan Zonta got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 57 minutes, Cauan Zonta made it 3-0 with a short kick to the right side. Vermelhinha's Evaristo Alvarenga tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Cesinha Pernambucano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 62nd minute, Cesinha Pernambucano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rubens Batista in the 64th minute of play forced Calesso FC's goalkeeper Li Li to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 66th minute Kauan Loyola shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Evaristo Alvarenga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cauan Zonta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Evaristo Alvarenga having to interfere. 68 minutes into the match, Vermelhinha's goal looked a bit too open when Kauan Loyola came free, but Evaristo Alvarenga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rubens Batista sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rubens Batista in the 75th minute of play forced Calesso FC's goalkeeper Li Li to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cauan Zonta kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Evaristo Alvarenga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cauan Zonta, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. When the match had gone on for 90 minutes, Cauan Zonta put it in 5-0 from a short distance just to the right of Evaristo Alvarenga. After a defensive mix-up in Vermelhinha's zone, Kauan Loyola stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Evaristo Alvarenga came out of the goal and Kauan Loyola tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Calesso FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
