After a rather tough play, XV de Indaial's Cesinha Moreno got a free kick in the 12th minute. Jorginho Catarinense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Faustão Lara having to interfere. Cícero Castro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 17th minute, Vitório Xavier hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Júlio Xavier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hugo da Silveira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Faustão Lara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gilmar Aguiar in the 20th minute of the match. Gilmar Aguiar kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Samuel Mendonça managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fantomas's supporters rose to their feet, but Samuel Mendonça was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Faustão Lara breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 36 minutes, Gilmar Aguiar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fantomas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gilmar Aguiar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fantomas's Jorginho Catarinense got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 46 minutes, Cícero Castro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fantomas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cícero Castro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Jorginho Catarinense managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jorginho Catarinense recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jorginho Catarinense in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Faustão Lara saved XV de Indaial from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Fantomas's Edson dos Santos got a free kick in the 70th minute. Fantomas's Jorginho Catarinense got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Júlio Xavier showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hugo da Silveira in the 78th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jorginho Catarinense got free with Faustão Lara in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Wanderson Messias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Virgílio Trevisan came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Fantomas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Virgílio Trevisan couldn't finish the play. XV de Indaial's Faustão Lara proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save XV de Indaial from getting a goal against them. If Jorginho Catarinense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match was over Fantomas could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than XV de Indaial throughout the match.
