He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Conrado Seco. Jumas's Nuno Neto got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 20 minutes into the match, Eduardo Leal notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Jumas's José Paulo Hoffmann. José Paulo Hoffmann was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adilson Maciel in the 25th minute of play forced Jumas's goalkeeper José Paulo Hoffmann to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 31 played minutes, Licarco Ferro EC's Hermínio do Vale shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper José Paulo Hoffmann came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. Marcos Leal's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Conrado Seco read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. The wind increased when Eduardo Leal made the kick off in the second half. José Paulo Hoffmann made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Adilson Maciel sent off a good shot on target. The Licarco Ferro EC fans' excitement grew in the 54th match minute when Licarco Ferro EC's Adilson Maciel looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. Licarco Ferro EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Adilson Maciel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. José Paulo Hoffmann breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Adilson Maciel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. José Paulo Hoffmann tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 96th minute, Thomás Prestes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match was over Licarco Ferro EC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Jumas throughout the match.
