Renan Valladares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristóvão Gonçalves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Conrado Diniz in the 20th minute of play forced Xapaporuci's goalkeeper Gustavo de Castro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 22 minutes into the match, Xapaporuci's goal looked a bit too open when Conrado Diniz came free, but Gustavo de Castro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gláuber Hoffmann during the 37th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 37 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Xapaporuci! Ibiracatu's Conrado Diniz managed to work through Xapaporuci's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. After a rather tough play, Ibiracatu's Rodrigo Passos got a free kick in the 46th minute.

56 minutes into the match, Xapaporuci's goal looked a bit too open when Conrado Diniz came free, but Gustavo de Castro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Ibiracatu booed when Xapaporuci was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristóvão Gonçalves didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 61st match minute, Xapaporuci was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gláuber Hoffmann to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 71 minutes, Giovani Souto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ibiracatu's supporters crossed their fingers, but Giovani Souto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Conrado Diniz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Conrado Diniz took the ball and in the 75 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gustavo de Castro. Gustavo de Castro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. When Claudinei Baptista fell near the penalty area in the 78th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ibiracatu's protests and gave Claudinei Baptista a yellow card for diving instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in Ibiracatu fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 78th minute. Penalty! Romeu Meira shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. In the 85th minute Cristóvão Gonçalves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Renan Valladares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 86th minute Conrado Diniz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gustavo de Castro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 87 minutes into the match, Xapaporuci's goal looked a bit too open when Eliézer de Medeiros came free, but Gustavo de Castro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marcial Videl blasted a shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gustavo de Castro having to make a save. There was no doubt that Ibiracatu were the better team. Ibiracatu's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
