Spectators: 6200 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1100, VIP seats: 100) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Conrado Diniz took the kick off in the first half of the match. Icebreaker's Edmundo Gaspar proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 3rd minute of the match, managed to save Icebreaker from getting a goal against them. In the 9th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ibiracatu's goalkeeper Renan Valladares, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Conrado Diniz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edmundo Gaspar having to interfere. Conrado Diniz came free with the goalkeeper in the 15th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Edmundo Gaspar could save by the left post. Ibiracatu's Renan Valladares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dino Fernandez in the 16th minute of play. In the 23rdth minute of the game Jarbas Salgado who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ibiracatu's Renan Valladares was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Conrado Diniz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 34 minutes into the game, Bernardo da Silva threw the ball into play from the sideline. Ibiracatu's Eliézer de Medeiros quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. The supporters of Icebreaker booed when Ibiracatu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rodrigo Passos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Renan Valladares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hélder Pitta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Renan Valladares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dino Fernandez in the 43rd minute of the match. Dino Fernandez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jarbas Salgado to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Conrado Diniz in the 55th minute of play forced Icebreaker's goalkeeper Edmundo Gaspar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ibiracatu's Eliézer de Medeiros got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Icebreaker's Diguinho Favoretto got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Ibiracatu's Conrado Diniz got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 71st minute, Ibiracatu's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Dino Fernandez fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 75 minutes into the match, Ibiracatu's goal looked a bit too open when Jarbas Salgado came free, but Renan Valladares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 79th of the match, Jarbas Salgado tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Renan Valladares got in the way and made a wonderful save. Marcial Videl charged in rather forcefully in the 81st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marcial Videl the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 81st match minute, Ibiracatu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcial Videl to maneuver through the defense. In the 82nd minute, Jarbas Salgado reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Renan Valladares. The goal made the score 0-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Conrado Diniz in the 86th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Edmundo Gaspar saved Icebreaker from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jarbas Salgado in the 96th minute of play forced Ibiracatu's goalkeeper Renan Valladares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Ibiracatu manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Icebreaker to win.
