Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Lino Alves got the match started through his kick off. After 5 minutes of play, Mandiquera's Tales Paes made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. José Maranhense was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Lino Alves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Charles Hoffmann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Maranhense having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Paulista FC's Fausto Matos got a free kick in the 17th minute. Mandiquera's Tzanko Oblakov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reynaldo Cardozo in the 19th minute of play. Tzanko Oblakov came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by Paulista FC's Cristian Machado. But to his dismay, Cristian Machado quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. 28 minutes into the game, Pedro Augusto Alcântara was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Paulista FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mandiquera the free kick. After a rather tough play, Paulista FC's Pedro Augusto Alcântara got a free kick in the 28th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Lino Alves managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mandiquera's supporters rose to their feet, but Lino Alves was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. José Maranhense breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Paulista FC's Giovani Prado got a free kick in the 30th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lino Alves in the 31st minute of play forced Paulista FC's goalkeeper José Maranhense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kaká Dionísio might have been able to make a better finish in the 34th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over José Maranhense. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kaká Dionísio ran back to his position shaking his head. Thanks to some nice moves Charles Hoffmann could shoot a difficult shot in the 41st minute, which José Maranhense however easily saved by the left post. Alessandro Dracena kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. Kaká Dionísio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match had gone on for 47 minutes, Lino Alves put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of José Maranhense. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.
The wind increased when Dalmo Figueiredo made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, one of Paulista FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Paulista FC. The referee gave Mandiquera a penalty, 54 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Adhemar Loureiro, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Paulista FC's José Maranhense. 3-1. Charles Hoffmann struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. José Maranhense didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mandiquera. Kaká Dionísio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Charles Hoffmann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Maranhense having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Charles Hoffmann in the 65th minute of play forced Paulista FC's goalkeeper José Maranhense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 66 minutes into the match, Lino Alves notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of Paulista FC's José Maranhense. José Maranhense was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Charles Hoffmann's late challenge caught a Paulista FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Charles Hoffmann helped the player get up and apologised. After 73 played minutes Mandiquera got a freekick which was hit by Charles Hoffmann. Reynaldo Cardozo's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 74thth minute, Tzanko Oblakov skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. If Lino Alves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. José Maranhense took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Charles Hoffmann, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Charles Hoffmann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Maranhense having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Paulista FC's zone, Lino Alves stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. José Maranhense came out of the goal and Lino Alves tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. José Maranhense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lino Alves in the 82nd minute of play. José Maranhense showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lino Alves in the 84th minute of the match. 85 minutes into the match, Mandiquera's goal looked a bit too open when Dalmo Figueiredo came free, but Tzanko Oblakov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. José Maranhense took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Charles Hoffmann, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 95th minute, Lino Alves ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. José Maranhense was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-1. When the referee ended the match the Mandiquera players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
