After having played for 17 minutes, Reinaldo Negri managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cruzes EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Reinaldo Negri was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 19thth minute of the game Rodriguinho Batista who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Morere's Jarbas Baptista was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jarbas Baptista showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rodriguinho Batista in the 22nd minute of the match. Zé Galvão blasted a shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jarbas Baptista having to make a save. 28 minutes into the match, Rodriguinho Batista notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Morere's Jarbas Baptista. Jarbas Baptista was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rodriguinho Batista in the 32nd minute of play forced Morere's goalkeeper Jarbas Baptista to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rodriguinho Batista had several of the Morere's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 60 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-3 score and a disappointed Jarbas Baptista as he didn't even see the shot coming. After 65 minutes, Rodriguinho Batista made it 0-4 with a short kick to the right side. Morere's Jarbas Baptista tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Reinaldo Negri struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Jarbas Baptista didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cruzes EC. Benny Rizaldi took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 72nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jarbas Baptista. Morere's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 79th minute, Dito Barreto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With his leg Jarbas Baptista managed to avoid a goal in the 82ndth minute, when Cruzes EC's Rodriguinho Batista fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 84th minute of the match Benny Rizaldi sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jarbas Baptista skillfully saved the ball. In the 95th minute Zé Galvão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jarbas Baptista saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the final whistle sounded Cruzes EC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Morere.
