Teodoro Madureira came out of the goal and Cesinha Coelho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gallaxy Atletic's Teodoro Madureira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valdir Cordeiro in the 18th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Valdir Cordeiro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Teodoro Madureira was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. In the 23rd minute, Alexandre Ferreira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Monteiro Viana FC booed when Gallaxy Atletic was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joaquim Lucas didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 95th minute of the match Nestor Recife sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Carlinhos Gerber skillfully saved the ball. In the 98th minute, Ruy Tande ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Carlinhos Gerber was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Monteiro Viana FC had played much better football throughout.
