Spectators: 5001 (Terracing: 4001, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Magno de Amaral started the match with the kick off. After having played for 11 minutes, Toninho Matorin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. League of Legends's supporters crossed their fingers, but Toninho Matorin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Joinville FC's André Luís Rezende got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Olívio Montenegro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luizão Custódio having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by André Luís Rezende in the 21st minute of play forced League of Legends's goalkeeper Luizão Custódio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Toninho Matorin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alessandro Marques showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Magno de Amaral in the 27th minute of the match. Alessandro Marques took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonathan Bittencourt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 32 minutes into the match, League of Legends's goal looked a bit too open when André Luís Rezende came free, but Luizão Custódio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 34th minute, Sérgio das Neves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of League of Legends booed when Joinville FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sérgio das Neves didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 43 minutes, Sérgio das Neves mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Joinville FC and the League of Legends players grew even worse after the yellow card. Sérgio das Neves kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. Joinville FC's Olívio Montenegro got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for André Luís Rezende to strike the kick off in the second half. Sérgio das Neves recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A hard shot by Teodoro da Silveira from long distance, 54 minutes into the match, got Luizão Custódio's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. After 55 minutes, Jonathan Bittencourt mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the League of Legends and the Joinville FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to League of Legends getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Jonathan Bittencourt hit a great ball. Alessandro Marques took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Magno de Amaral, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 65th minute André Luís Rezende shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luizão Custódio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Toninho Matorin came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the League of Legends fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Toninho Matorin couldn't finish the play. André Luís Rezende received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Luizão Custódio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the League of Legends defense, Olívio Montenegro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Luizão Custódio. The League of Legends fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luizão Custódio should have stopped the shot. André Luís Rezende received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Luizão Custódio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luizão Custódio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from André Luís Rezende, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute.
