Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) In the 10th minute, Carlos Lopez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cascudo EC's Gerson Fantini played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ismael do Nascimento in the 14th minute of play. A sloppy throw-in by Walmir Pontes in the 17th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Cascudo EC's Oséas Saraiva. Fábio Santana showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Afonso Rezende, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Gerson Fantini came out of the goal in the 25th minute to try and stop a shot by LD Seropédica's Belmiro Porto. But to his dismay, Belmiro Porto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Cascudo EC's Glauco Mesquita got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Glauco Mesquita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Afonso Rezende received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Fábio Santana tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 40 minutes in the game, Afonso Rezende fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Fábio Santana having to interfere. Glauco Mesquita struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Fábio Santana didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cascudo EC.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Afonso Rezende made a kick off. A collision led to LD Seropédica getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Baltazar Messias hit a great ball. After 54 minutes LD Seropédica's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Claudinho Lopes who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Cascudo EC's corner Claudinho Lopes fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Fábio Santana quite easily take care of the ball. Afonso Rezende fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fábio Santana having to interfere. Fábio Santana took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Afonso Rezende, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ismael do Nascimento kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Ismael do Nascimento took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gerson Fantini. Gerson Fantini dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Fábio Santana came out of the goal in the 86th minute to try and stop a shot by Cascudo EC's Afonso Rezende. But to his dismay, Afonso Rezende quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. If Carlos Lopez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Chants of LD Seropédica echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Cascudo EC had held the ball for most of the match.
