Gremio RedBull's Breno Hoffmann proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 4th minute of the match, managed to save Gremio RedBull from getting a goal against them. 6 minutes into the game, Luís Guilherme da Rocha was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gremio RedBull's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Darabi the free kick. Luís Guilherme da Rocha hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Ramón Tinoco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Breno Hoffmann having to interfere. After some careless play in the Gremio RedBull defense, Dráusio Souto kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Breno Hoffmann. The Gremio RedBull fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Breno Hoffmann should have stopped the shot. In the 20th minute of the match, Ramón Tinoco got a very nice opportunity to score, but Breno Hoffmann was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Marcos Britto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Breno Hoffmann having to interfere. Marcos Britto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Breno Hoffmann made a huge save. If Ramón Tinoco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luís Guilherme da Rocha blasted a shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Adalmo Perez having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Serginho Britto in the 42nd minute of play forced Darabi's goalkeeper Adalmo Perez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 46 minutes into the match, Gremio RedBull's Serginho Britto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Adalmo Perez narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 48 minutes into the match, Gremio RedBull's goalkeeper Breno Hoffmann had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ramón Tinoco. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

If Clóvis Duarte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marcos Britto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Breno Hoffmann having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Ramón Tinoco managed to get in a good position for a shot. Darabi's supporters rose to their feet, but Ramón Tinoco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Breno Hoffmann breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Clóvis Duarte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Breno Hoffmann showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcos Britto, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Breno Hoffmann stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marcos Britto's shot from short distance in the 62nd minute. Marcinho Rodrigues kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Serginho Britto hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Marcos Britto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Breno Hoffmann tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gremio RedBull's Breno Hoffmann played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Durval Faustino in the 80th minute of play. After 83 played minutes Luís Guilherme da Rocha rounded Darabi's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 3-1. If Durval Faustino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Alfredinho Saldanha kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Breno Hoffmann stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ramón Tinoco's shot from short distance in the 89th minute. Clóvis Duarte sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Durval Faustino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Breno Hoffmann having to interfere. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Darabi fully deserved thier win.
