Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Cobe's Luizinho Velloso started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 11 minutes into the match, Cobe's goal looked a bit too open when Juninho Paiva came free, but Anselmo Prata reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Anselmo Prata was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Juninho Paiva showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 15 minute of play. 19 minutes into the game, Juninho Paiva recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Anselmo Prata. Juninho Paiva showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. Jean Félixs short, quick shot in the 24thth minute got Anselmo Prata to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. When Jean Félix came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Caratatiua SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jean Félix couldn't finish the play. Anselmo Prata made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juninho Paiva in the 27th minute of play. In the 31st minute, Hélder Abreu reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Anselmo Prata. The goal made the score 3-0. 34 minutes into the match, Cobe's goalkeeper Anselmo Prata had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jean Félix. Luís Toscano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adelino das Neves having to interfere. Luizinho Velloso might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Adelino das Neves. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Luizinho Velloso ran back to his position shaking his head. After having played for 44 minutes, Luís Toscano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cobe's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luís Toscano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Luizinho Velloso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Juninho Paiva stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute of the match Deivid de Queirós sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Adelino das Neves skillfully saved the ball. In the 55thth minute of the game Jean Félix who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cobe's Anselmo Prata was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 56th match minute, Caratatiua SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tiaguinho Nóbrega to maneuver through the defense. In the 59th minute Jean Félix shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anselmo Prata saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 63 played minutes Cobe got a freekick which was hit by Flávio Sampaio. In the 64th minute, Luiz Fábio de Azevedo sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Cobe's Anselmo Prata didn't even have to move. Jean Félix sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 67th minute, Anderson Teles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Caratatiua SC were awarded a corner in the 70th minute after Cobe's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Luiz Fábio de Azevedo took the corner. In the 74th minute, Juninho Paiva left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Caratatiua SC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. Jean Félix sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 79 minutes into the match, Cobe's goal looked a bit too open when Jean Félix came free, but Anselmo Prata reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Anselmo Prata showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jean Félix, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. After 84 minutes of play, Caratatiua SC's Jean Félix made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Anselmo Prata was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 87th minute, Flávio Sampaio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 89th minute, Jean Félix left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Caratatiua SC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. Jean Félix received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Anselmo Prata tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Caratatiua SC had won after a very even match.
