The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Juninho Paiva stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Maneco SS's zone, Jean Félix stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Inácio Dantas came out of the goal and Jean Félix tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Juninho Paiva scored 2-0 in the 52nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Inácio Dantas, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Adelino das Neves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mauro Ramalho in the 56th minute of the match.
