After a rather tough play, Atlético Pirassununguense's Durval Valle got a free kick in the 17th minute. The audience was convinced that Cristian Santana's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Erivaldo Donatello was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. Basílio Dracena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Erivaldo Donatello tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 20 played minutes Atlético Pirassununguense got a freekick which was hit by Lúcio Arce. Cristian Santana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Atlético Pirassununguense's zone, Cristian Santana stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Erivaldo Donatello came out of the goal and Cristian Santana tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Cristian Santana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 29 minutes into the match, Ji-Paraná Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Cícero Amorim had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Durval Valle. Erivaldo Donatello came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by Ji-Paraná Futebol Clube's Agnaldo Ramos. But to his dismay, Agnaldo Ramos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. When Ji-Paraná Futebol Clube's Cristian Santana in the 36th minute got a chance for a shot 36th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Atlético Pirassununguense's goalie prevented a goal. When Doriva Félix fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ji-Paraná Futebol Clube's protests and gave Doriva Félix a yellow card for diving instead. After 42 played minutes Ji-Paraná Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Doriva Félix. Cícero Amorim was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Délio Senna. When Remo Nogueira fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Atlético Pirassununguense's protests and gave Remo Nogueira a yellow card for diving instead. Remo Nogueira kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. After the first half Ji-Paraná Futebol Clube were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cristian Santana stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jonathan Saraiva kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. In the 52nd minute, Ji-Paraná Futebol Clube's Agnaldo Ramos ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Erivaldo Donatello. Erivaldo Donatello yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-2. After 58 played minutes Atlético Pirassununguense got a freekick which was hit by Tomás Marques. An unexpected shot in the 62nd minute by Basílio Dracena got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cristian Santana in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Erivaldo Donatello saved Atlético Pirassununguense from getting behind. When Ji-Paraná Futebol Clube's Cristian Santana in the 66th minute got a chance for a shot 66th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Atlético Pirassununguense's goalie prevented a goal. Wilian Pirani hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cristian Santana in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Erivaldo Donatello prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cristian Santana's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 78thth minute, Erivaldo Donatello skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Cícero Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Durval Valle in the 81st minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cristian Santana in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Erivaldo Donatello saved Atlético Pirassununguense from getting behind. The Atlético Pirassununguense fans' excitement grew in the 87th match minute when Atlético Pirassununguense's Tomás Marques looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When the match had gone on for 95 minutes, Cristian Santana put it in 1-4 from a short distance just to the right of Erivaldo Donatello. The Atlético Pirassununguense fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ji-Paraná Futebol Clube were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
