After 5 minutes of play, Engenharia UNICAMP's Dorian Trigo made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cacá Carneiro was left in no man's land by his defense there! Engenharia UNICAMP's César Esteves quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Cacá Gaspar, made in the 13th minute of the game. Cacá Carneiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dorian Trigo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Digo Lima fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cacá Carneiro having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Dorian Trigo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cacá Carneiro was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. Dorian Trigo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cacá Carneiro having to interfere. When Engenharia UNICAMP's Dorian Trigo in the 33rd minute got a chance for a shot 33rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye OSASCO F.C's goalie prevented a goal. Cacá Carneiro came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by Engenharia UNICAMP's Dorian Trigo. But to his dismay, Dorian Trigo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Eriberto Maciel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Afonso Travassos in the 42nd minute. Marcos Marquez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cacá Carneiro having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Engenharia UNICAMP's Marcos Marquez got a free kick in the 46th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dorian Trigo to make the kick off. In the 55th minute, Dorian Trigo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Engenharia UNICAMP fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. If Marcos Marquez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dorian Trigo had several of the OSASCO F.C's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 63 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-5 score and a disappointed Cacá Carneiro as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 68th minute, one of Engenharia UNICAMP:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Engenharia UNICAMP. 72 minutes into the game, Afonso Travassos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. OSASCO F.C's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Engenharia UNICAMP the free kick. The supporters of Engenharia UNICAMP booed when OSASCO F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Afonso Travassos didn't get a good kick on the ball. César Esteves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cacá Carneiro having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cícero Meira during the 77th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Engenharia UNICAMP's Eriberto Maciel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cícero Meira in the 81st minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dorian Trigo in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cacá Carneiro saved OSASCO F.C from getting behind. Dorian Trigo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Cacá Carneiro made a huge save. When the final whistle sounded Engenharia UNICAMP left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than OSASCO F.C.
