When Haroldo Castro came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the Pontalinda fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Haroldo Castro couldn't finish the play. A hard shot by Betinho Barral from long distance, 9 minutes into the match, got Fernandinho Galvão's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. After some careless play in the MALDITA MZB defense, Richard Machado kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kaan Kaan. The MALDITA MZB fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kaan Kaan should have stopped the shot. Fernandinho Galvão didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Edmundo Tepedino went, in the 15th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Perivaldo Vander in the 23rd minute of play forced Pontalinda's goalkeeper Fernandinho Galvão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pontalinda's Fernandinho Galvão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmundo Tepedino in the 24th minute of play. Betinho Barral took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 26th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Fernandinho Galvão. Pontalinda's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 27 minutes into the match Edmundo Tepedino climbed in front of goal and pressed up 2-1 in the right cross behind a totally surprised Fernandinho Galvão. Fernandinho Galvão stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edmundo Tepedino's shot from short distance in the 47th minute. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edmundo Tepedino in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fernandinho Galvão saved Pontalinda from getting behind. Kléber Maciel took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 62nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Fernandinho Galvão. Pontalinda's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When the match had gone on for 64 minutes, Edmundo Tepedino put it in 4-2 from a short distance just to the right of Fernandinho Galvão. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Haroldo Castro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pontalinda's supporters rose to their feet, but Haroldo Castro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kaan Kaan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Leonel Guedes hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. The supporters of MALDITA MZB booed when Pontalinda was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luiz Gustavo Arruda didn't get a good kick on the ball. Amerigo Cesare took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 73rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Fernandinho Galvão. Pontalinda's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 79 minutes into the game, Joaquim de Andrade cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-2. Fernandinho Galvão was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The MALDITA MZB fans' excitement grew in the 88th match minute when MALDITA MZB's Edmundo Tepedino looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 6-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Edmundo Tepedino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Pontalinda's zone, Perivaldo Vander stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fernandinho Galvão came out of the goal and Perivaldo Vander tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Pontalinda's Fernandinho Galvão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmundo Tepedino in the 94th minute of play.
