The supporters of Camargo booed when Pontalinda was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patrick Secco didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 28th minute, Gilmar Dias got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Fernandinho Galvão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gilmar Dias, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. After having played for 31 minutes, Haroldo Castro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pontalinda's supporters crossed their fingers, but Haroldo Castro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 33 minutes into the game, Moisés Donatello was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Camargo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pontalinda the free kick. 33 minutes into the game, one of Camargo:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. If Dênis Neiva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Haroldo Castro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute Ernani Silva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernandinho Galvão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jeferson Cardoso made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dênis Neiva in the 60th minute. Dênis Neiva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Jeferson Cardoso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jeferson Cardoso was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Haroldo Castro showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-4 in the 74 minute of play. In the 78th match minute, Pontalinda was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Richard Machado to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Camargo's Víktor Rosado tried to score from far away in the 79th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ernani Silva in the 83rd minute of play forced Pontalinda's goalkeeper Fernandinho Galvão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Dênis Neiva came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Pontalinda fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dênis Neiva couldn't finish the play. Haroldo Castro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jeferson Cardoso having to interfere. When Cléberson Duarte fell near the penalty area in the 88th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Camargo's protests and gave Cléberson Duarte a yellow card for diving instead. In the 88th minute, Cléberson Duarte hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Haroldo Castro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pontalinda's supporters rose to their feet, but Haroldo Castro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jeferson Cardoso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dênis Neiva could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Jeferson Cardoso made a huge save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Haroldo Castro in the 94th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jeferson Cardoso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The Camargo fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Pontalinda were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
