Rodeiro's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nuno Rosa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. The referee ignored Rodeiro's protests and gave Ulysses Rocha a yellow card for diving instead. In the 27th minute, Ulysses Rocha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nico Barreto, 36 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tarcisio Cruz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nuno Rosa, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. The audience was convinced that Nuno Rosa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tarcisio Cruz was relentless in the 58th minute of the game. Nilton Azevedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sven-Ove Melin having to interfere. After 66 minutes, Nuno Rosa made it 0-3 with a short kick to the right side. Rodeiro's Tarcisio Cruz tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After having played for 71 minutes, Nuno Rosa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cupira's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nuno Rosa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rodeiro. 76 minutes into the match, Cupira's goal looked a bit too open when Nilton Azevedo came free, but Sven-Ove Melin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luiz Fábio Brito fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sven-Ove Melin having to interfere. Nilton Azevedo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sven-Ove Melin having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luiz Fábio Brito in the 87th minute of play forced Cupira's goalkeeper Sven-Ove Melin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Luiz Fábio Brito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 91st minute Nilton Azevedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sven-Ove Melin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luiz Fábio Brito sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
