André Perez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Eliseu de Salles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Uarati EC fans' excitement grew in the 15th match minute when Uarati EC's Ediberto Maranhense looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. If Juarês Goiano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Elivélton Couto kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Juarês Goiano's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fritz Granberg was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. After having played for 36 minutes, Nilson Queirós managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Uarati EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nilson Queirós was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Juarês Goiano in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fritz Granberg saved Celtas FC from getting behind. 47 minutes into the match, Uarati EC's goal looked a bit too open when Donato Quirino came free, but Eliseu de Salles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Donato Quirino to make the kick off. Elivélton Couto hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. After 62 minutes, Olívio Araújo made it 4-0 with a short kick to the right side. Celtas FC's Fritz Granberg tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 65 minutes into the game, Amadeu Torres was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Uarati EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Celtas FC the free kick. Celtas FC's Fritz Granberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juarês Goiano in the 74th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nilson Queirós in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fritz Granberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 82nd minute, Donato Quirino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 89 minutes, Nilson Queirós managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Uarati EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nilson Queirós was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. During the 91st minute of the match Amadeu Torres completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Amadeu Torres a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 92 played minutes Uarati EC got a freekick which was hit by Amadeu Torres. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Nilson Queirós managed to get in a good position for a shot. Uarati EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Nilson Queirós was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fritz Granberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Uarati EC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
