Charnockitos's Pedro Paulo Cruz got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 10th minute, one of Japiim:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Japiim. In the 11th minute there was a penalty for Charnockitos. Álvaro Arruda stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Alexsandro Silveira. 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in Japiim's zone, Pedro Paulo Cruz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alexsandro Silveira came out of the goal and Pedro Paulo Cruz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alexsandro Silveira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedro Paulo Cruz, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. 15 minutes into the match, Japiim's goal looked a bit too open when Álvaro Arruda came free, but Alexsandro Silveira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Charnockitos fans' excitement grew in the 19th match minute when Charnockitos's Pedro Paulo Cruz looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 24 minutes into the game, Charnockitos's Álvaro Arruda nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. After some careless play in the Japiim defense, Álvaro Arruda kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alexsandro Silveira. The Japiim fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alexsandro Silveira should have stopped the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pedro Paulo Cruz in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alexsandro Silveira saved Japiim from getting behind. In the 40th minute, Álvaro Arruda made a precise shot to the right of Alexsandro Silveira. Japiim's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-5. In the 44th minute Charnockitos were awarded a corner. Aleksander Terasek went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 46th minute, Álvaro Arruda got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-5.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Pedro Paulo Cruz to strike the kick off in the second half. After 54 minutes, Pedro Paulo Cruz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Charnockitos and the Japiim players grew even worse after the yellow card. Alexsandro Silveira yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-7. Pedro Paulo Cruz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Charnockitos's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
