Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when João Pedro Faria kicked off to start the match. Paulo José Oliveira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thomás Faria, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 4th minute, Fábio França hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 8 minutes of play, Campinho EC's Hílton Massa made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hortêncio Loureiro was left in no man's land by his defense there! Orlando Lopez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Paulo José Oliveira made a huge save. When the match had gone on for 16 minutes, Décio Queirós took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Paulo José Oliveira to make any attempt to save it. After 20 minutes, Fábio França mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ipanema EC and the Campinho EC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Fábio França hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. In the 22nd minute, Luizinho Velasco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 25 played minutes Campinho EC got a freekick which was hit by João Pedro Faria. Orlando Lopez scored 2-1 in the 32nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Paulo José Oliveira, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 36 minutes in the game, Décio Queirós fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Paulo José Oliveira having to interfere. Paulo José Oliveira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Orlando Lopez, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. In the 36th minute, Orlando Lopez made a precise shot to the right of Paulo José Oliveira. Campinho EC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by João Pedro Faria during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Campinho EC's Paulo José Oliveira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save Campinho EC from getting a goal against them.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Décio Queirós stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Orlando Lopez might have been able to make a better finish in the 52nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Paulo José Oliveira. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Silvério Queiroz charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Silvério Queiroz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 58 played minutes Ipanema EC got a freekick which was hit by Silvério Queiroz. If Décio Queirós had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Orlando Lopez struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Paulo José Oliveira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ipanema EC. An unexpectedly hard shot by Décio Queirós in the 73rd minute of play forced Campinho EC's goalkeeper Paulo José Oliveira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Campinho EC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Luiz Fernando do Vale in the 76th minute. Benjamin Brito was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Décio Queirós fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo José Oliveira having to interfere. Paulo José Oliveira stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Orlando Lopez's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. 87 minutes into the match, Campinho EC's goal looked a bit too open when Décio Queirós came free, but Paulo José Oliveira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Orlando Lopez's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Paulo José Oliveira read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 93rd minute of play. 95 minutes into the match, Campinho EC's goal looked a bit too open when Orlando Lopez came free, but Paulo José Oliveira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee ended the match the Ipanema EC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
