Chuvarada FC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. 26 minutes into the match, Chuvarada FC's goal looked a bit too open when João Adolfo Baptista came free, but João Pinto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. João Pinto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 傅烽国, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. The supporters of Corinthians booed when Chuvarada FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tiago Mattos didn't get a good kick on the ball. 32 minutes into the game, Magno Mesquita was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Corinthians's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Chuvarada FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Corinthians's Magno Mesquita got a free kick in the 32nd minute. A collision led to Corinthians getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Magno Mesquita hit a great ball. Silvinho Pena showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Beto Damião in the 43rd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Chuvarada FC's Nando Bezerra got a free kick in the 45th minute. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Beto Damião was the one to do the kick off. João Pinto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Adolfo Baptista in the 54th minute of play. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Osvaldo Severo advanced and headed the ball into goal, 1-2 in the 56th minute. In the 59th minute, Nando Bezerra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Silvinho Pena showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Beto Damião in the 64th minute of the match. Silvinho Pena came out of the goal in the 66th minute to try and stop a shot by Chuvarada FC's Fiori Schmidt. But to his dismay, Fiori Schmidt quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Silvinho Pena showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Víktor Linares, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. If João Adolfo Baptista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fiori Schmidt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Silvinho Pena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Corinthians's Silvinho Pena played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fiori Schmidt in the 74th minute of play. Chuvarada FC's Fiori Schmidt managed to work through Corinthians's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Fiori Schmidt dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. 80 minutes into the game, Chuvarada FC's Tiago Mattos nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Silvinho Pena made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. João Pinto made an important save on a dangerous shot by 傅烽国 in the 88th minute. Chuvarada FC's João Pinto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Adolfo Baptista in the 91st minute of play. João Adolfo Baptista came free with the goalkeeper in the 93rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and João Pinto could save by the left post. In the 97th minute João Adolfo Baptista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but João Pinto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Corinthians's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Chuvarada FC had won, even though Corinthians had held more of the ball.
