Araxá F.C's Sandrinho Vides got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sandrinho Vides took the ball and in the 33 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Magno Domingues. Magno Domingues dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Dé Pinho hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Sandrinho Vides received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Magno Domingues tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 45th minute, Sandrinho Vides made a precise shot to the right of Magno Domingues. River Playte's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ronaldão Tepedino stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Nelson Medeiros struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Magno Domingues didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Araxá F.C. Sandrinho Vides sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Magno Domingues was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ronaldão Tepedino showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-4 in the 60 minute of play. Ronaldão Tepedino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Magno Domingues tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Araxá F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ronaldão Tepedino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 77th minute, Décio Cruz reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Magno Domingues. The goal made the score 0-5. Hudson Luz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Adolfo Mello having to interfere. 94 minutes into the game, Sandrinho Vides recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Magno Domingues. Sandrinho Vides showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-6. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Araxá F.C eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
