Magno Domingues was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. River Playte's Magno Domingues played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cido Borges in the 9th minute of play. The corner led Aruma's Cazimir Apostol to fire away a dangerous shot which Magno Domingues despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. If Túlio de Lima had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Aruma fans' excitement grew in the 14th match minute when Aruma's Virgílio Queirós looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When Yan Camargo fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored River Playte's protests and gave Yan Camargo a yellow card for diving instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hudson Luz got free with Adelino Teixeira in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 21 minutes into the match, River Playte's goal looked a bit too open when Cido Borges came free, but Magno Domingues reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, River Playte's Júlio Mendes got a free kick in the 23rd minute. When Cido Borges came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Aruma fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cido Borges couldn't finish the play. Virgílio Queirós sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Magno Domingues didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Aruma. A collision led to Aruma getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Durvalino Duarte hit a great ball. Magno Domingues showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cido Borges in the 38th minute of the match. Magno Domingues made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Virgílio Queirós in the 39th minute of play. In the 43rd minute, Cido Borges left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Aruma fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. In the 47th match minute, Aruma was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lucas Mendonça to maneuver through the defense. The River Playte players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Aruma were winning 1-3.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for João Carlos Cearense to strike the kick off in the second half. Cido Borges fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Magno Domingues having to interfere. After 53rd play minutes Virgílio Queirós shot 1-4, a short shot which went by Magno Domingues and just under the crossbar into goal. Túlio de Queirós hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. In the 59th match minute, River Playte was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Júlio Mendes to maneuver through the defense. Magno Domingues was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Cido Borges showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-5 in the 59 minute of play. Virgílio Queirós could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Magno Domingues made a huge save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Virgílio Queirós in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Magno Domingues prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 67thth minute of the game Virgílio Queirós who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but River Playte's Magno Domingues was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 69th minute, Aruma's Virgílio Queirós dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-6. Magno Domingues showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Virgílio Queirós in the 72nd minute of the match. Adelino Teixeira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hudson Luz, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. 79 minutes into the game, Aruma's Virgílio Queirós nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Magno Domingues made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-7. After a defensive mix-up in River Playte's zone, Cido Borges stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Magno Domingues came out of the goal and Cido Borges tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Virgílio Queirós in the 93rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Magno Domingues prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 94th minute, Aruma's Durvalino Duarte seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Durvalino Duarte the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Aruma protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Durvalino Duarte had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Adelino Teixeira had in the 97thth minute some difficulties stopping Bebeto Quirino's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. When the match was over Aruma could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than River Playte throughout the match.
