After a rather tough play, Riachaozinho SS's Andrézinho Passos got a free kick in the 2nd minute. Armindo Ramos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miguel Rodrigues in the 5th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Célio de Souza in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fernando Dias saved Riachaozinho SS from getting behind. With a little luck, Itororo EC's Armindo Ramos got control of the ball when Tadeu Ramos tried to sneak it across the goal line. 14 minutes into the match, Itororo EC's goalkeeper Armindo Ramos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tadeu Ramos. When Itororo EC's Célio de Souza in the 16th minute got a chance for a shot 16th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Riachaozinho SS's goalie prevented a goal. Itororo EC's Armindo Ramos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Itororo EC from getting a goal against them. Fernando Dias showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Célio de Souza, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Tomás Tróia kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. After 33 minutes of play, Riachaozinho SS's Andrézinho Passos made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Armindo Ramos was left in no man's land by his defense there! Nando Arantes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fernando Dias showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aníbal Aguiar, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Itororo EC's Armindo Ramos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save Itororo EC from getting a goal against them. Armindo Ramos was a little too slow when Andrézinho Passos got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 47th minute. The score was now 2-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nando Arantes made a kick off. Celso Baptista struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Fernando Dias didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Itororo EC. In the 57th minute of the match, Celso Baptista tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Fernando Dias saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After having played for 60 minutes, Célio de Souza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Itororo EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Célio de Souza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Armindo Ramos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nando Arantes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 69th minute Andrézinho Passos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Armindo Ramos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Hamílton Félix had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fernando Dias made an important save on a dangerous shot by Célio de Souza in the 75th minute. Nando Arantes scored 3-0 in the 77th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Armindo Ramos, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Riachaozinho SS getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Albertinho Braga hit a great ball. Célio de Souza let the left foot speak when in front of goal in the 85th minute shot 3-1 at rihgt post. After a rather tough play, Riachaozinho SS's Jaime de Amorim got a free kick in the 92nd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Célio de Souza got free with Fernando Dias in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Célio de Souza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fernando Dias showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Célio de Souza in the 98th minute of the match. When the referee blew the final whistle, Riachaozinho SS could leave the field as winners, despite Itororo EC having more of the ball for most of the match.
