Luisão Mumbach fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dorian Sousa having to interfere. Pernas de Pau FC's Rafinha Urbano got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Pirikitos de Água Doce's Edvaldo Cordeiro slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Dorian Sousa. That made the score 2-1 after 20 minutes of play. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Pernas de Pau FC's goalkeeper Dorian Sousa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Dorian Sousa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Germano Teixeira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 25 minutes of play, Pirikitos de Água Doce's Luisão Mumbach made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dorian Sousa was left in no man's land by his defense there! Pirikitos de Água Doce's Dé Vidal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Róbson Saraiva in the 29th minute of play. Luisão Mumbach received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Dorian Sousa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Rodolfo Bastos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pirikitos de Água Doce's supporters rose to their feet, but Rodolfo Bastos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dorian Sousa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ricardo Dionísio struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Edvaldo Cordeiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Dorian Sousa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 42 minutes into the match, Rodolfo Bastos notched a goal, 5-1, to the right of Pernas de Pau FC's Dorian Sousa. Dorian Sousa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Ricardo Dionísio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pernas de Pau FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ricardo Dionísio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dé Vidal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Rodolfo Bastos made the kick off in the second half. The Pirikitos de Água Doce fans' excitement grew in the 53rd match minute when Pirikitos de Água Doce's Rodolfo Bastos looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 6-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Germano Teixeira couldn't finish the play. Rodolfo Bastos might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dorian Sousa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rodolfo Bastos ran back to his position shaking his head. 91 minutes into the match, Pirikitos de Água Doce's goalkeeper Dé Vidal had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by João Paulo Sarmento. 97 minutes into the match, Pernas de Pau FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rodolfo Bastos came free, but Dorian Sousa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
